Exercise stress testing is a cardiovascular stress test that uses treadmill exercise with an EKG to diagnose cardiovascular disease. For patients with decreased functional capacity, or who cannot exercise, OHC can provide a referral for pharmacological stress testing, in which pharmacological agents replicate the cardiovascular stress of exercise, often in conjunction with radionuclide imaging.
